If you buy Episodes From Liberty City on disc for Xbox 360 at retail, you don’t need Xbox LIVE at all, other than to play multiplayer (which is a lot of fun and highly recommended). Of course, if you’re looking to download either of the episodes, you’ll need Xbox LIVE.
"Does anyone know how big the size of the file[for The Ballad of Gay Tony] will be?" - lorraine
It will be a similar size to The Lost And Damned, which was 2 GB.
"Do we need to have The Lost and Damned in order to play The Ballad Of Gay Tony?" - 29391
No. While it’s great to have knowledge of Episode 1’s story to get the most out of the revelations in Episode 2, it’s not essential. You can download and play The Ballad of Gay Tony on its own.
"If I buy the new standalone disc, can I play original GTA IV missions from the new disc (play as Niko Bellic)?" - Pardla
No, the Episodes From Liberty City are completely separate standalone games. To play through Niko’s story, you’d have to play the original release of Grand Theft Auto IV.
"Will all of the content that was added with the Ballad of Gay Tony and the Lost and the Damned be added so it can be used in the original, or will I have to continue to play each of the add-ons to use the new stuff?" - crow114
New features that appear in the Episodes do not cross over into the original Grand Theft Auto IV. The feature sets were designed with the story and gameplay arcs of each specific game in mind.

you should just be happy the date isn't extended like GTA 4 when it first came out.......................................with that guy out the way i can't wait either, it's awsome that they rendered a few helicopters and that looked like a yacht in the top pic !! I was getting sick of jacking the stupid tugboat because it was the bigest... who cares though, we are looking at the future of GTA!!!!! No one here can tell me that they didn't see the most cool s**t that they have seen in explosions and stunt-wise. I have been watching movies that are action packed and i seemed to be less suprised every time i see and explosion on a movie or TV. The only thing i want from Rockstar after Episodes from Liberty City is either a map pack or another game starring with the Triads or see CJ return to Liberty City from San Andreas...........................BUT ABOVE ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT YOU ROCKSTAR!! TO MAKE SAN ANDREAS WITH GTA 4 GRAPHICS. (i will beg for that)

I waited for this game so long when it released in Xbox..
But why do you make the Playstation the second choise. They should make it the first because the Xbox microsoft not such in games and this company likely do not want to the gamers to enjoy! They want theme to pay!! Because its always need to be fixed! The playstation is the best.
Just get a 360. It's that simple. R* made 50 million off of Microsoft so your post is just ignorant and dumb. It's your fault for getting a PS3.
